Dr. Manik Chopra is recognized as the first and most experienced structural heart disease interventionist and TAVR/ TAVI specialist in Gujarat, and among one of the leading experts in India. He leads the structural heart disease interventions program at Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Ahmedabad, where the team has achieved multiple firsts in transcatheter heart valve interventions in Gujarat. These include mitral procedures (replacement — TMVR, repair — M-TEER using MitraClip); pulmonary interventions (TPVR); tricuspid and caval interventions (caval valve implantation — CAVI using the TricValve) and aortic valve interventions (TAVR/TAVI- in a bicuspid aortic valve, VIV with valve fracture and with cerebral protection). The program attracts patients not only from across Gujarat, but also from other states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh & Maharashtra, as well as from foreign countries such as Kenya and Bangladesh.
