About Dr. Manik Chopra
Dr Manik Chopra is the first and the most experienced Structural heart disease interventions specialist in the entire Gujarat and amongst the few in the whole of India. He did Gujarat’s first transcatheter mitral valve implantation (TMVR) and first Mitraclip procedure (independently done) at Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Ahmedabad. He also has Gujarat’s first transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI/TAVR) in a bicuspid aortic valve and first TAVI/TAVR with cerebral protection to his credit.
He is the Clinical lead in Structural heart disease interventions at Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Ahmedabad where he has established a successful TAVR/TAVI program. The TAVR/TAVI program at Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Ahmedabad takes pride in treating patients not only from all across Gujarat; but also, from other states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh & Maharashtra and also from foreign countries like Kenya & Bangladesh.
He is proctor for most of the transcatheter heart valves (THV) available in the Indian and International market and has done/ proctored 400+ TAVR/TAVI and other transcatheter heart valve interventions cases across 16 countries, 50+ cities & 130+ cardiac centres across India and abroad since mid-2019. With his experience of 300+ TAVR/TAVI cases during his fellowship at Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark (2017- 2018); he has a total experience of 700+ TAVR/TAVI and other transcatheter heart valve intervention cases- one of the largest in India. He has provided his services internationally and has proctored 50+ TAVR/TAVI cases which includes countries across Europe like Denmark, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Romania. He has also proctored TAVR/TAVI cases in many countries in Asia like Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia. He has proctoring of the first case of Myval THV TAVR in Denmark, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria and Romania to his credit.
He has done/proctored 30+ transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR) - valve in valve (VIV), valve in ring (VIR) and transapical cases. He also carries a vast experience of 80+ LAAO (Left atrial appendage occlusion) cases & 40+ mitraclip cases during his fellowship at Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark.

Experience of 300 + TAVR / TAVI, 80 + LAAO (Left atrial appendage occlusion) and 40 + Mitraclips at Righospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark.
