transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement / transcatheter tricuspid valve Implantation (TTVR / TTVI)

When is it done ?

If the patient has a bioprosthetic tricuspid valve which has degenerated or tricuspid ring with severe tricuspid regurgitation and is causing symptoms, right heart failure and patient is unfit/ high risk for surgery (after heart team assessment).

Which valves are used ?

Sapien 3, Myval.

How is it done?

It is done through femoral vein access, without opening the chest and without heart lung machine. If uncomplicated, it leads to early mobilisation and early discharge.

Caval Valve Implanation (CAVI)

When is it done?

Severe symptomatic tricuspid regurgitation of functional origin without severe PAH or RV systolic dysfunction. (after heart team assessment).

Which valve is used?

Tric valve.
